This is a last of knacks we use for our [[Scion (Scion)|scion]] game. Knack suggestions can be added under "Discussion"
[[Category:Scion]]

Eftersom det finns för lite Knacks i Scion böckerna, så kommer alla de Knacks vi skapar att läggas upp här. De Knacks som ännu inte är godkända läggs upp under discussion fliken.

It's not unheard of to sacrifice oneself for the benefit of others, and a Scion with this Knack is simply awesome at just that. Whenever one of his allies is the target of an attack, the Scion may fling himself firsthand into the line of fire, taking the attack instead of his ally. The Scion is reduced to DV 0 when doing this in order to take the attack head on. The ally who was supposed to be struck is empowered by the Scion's sacrifice and regains a point of willpower.

This knack imbues the scion with the uncanny ability to alwasy remain on his feet despite treachourus terrain or an enemy's attempt to knock him down. For example, a character with this knack never suffers knockdown. The player does not need to roll, but still takes damage. He still suffers penalties on speed for moving through kneedeep mud or water, but his dice pool remains unaffected. The scion can also perform in high heels as if he was wearing flats.

With lightning fast reflexes, a Scion possessing this Knack can become a sorting machine of epic propotions, or become the greatest thief ever known to man. When activating this Knack, the Scion snatches something so quickly out of the air or from someone's hand that they actually perform the action they tried with the object without it! Doing so requires the Scion roll more successes on a ''Dexterity + Larceny'' roll than the target rolls on a ''Dexterity + Awareness'' roll. If the object is a Relic, the Relic's rating is added as ''automatic successes'' to the targets roll. Also, if the target is more difficult to disarm, it might get to use another stat than dexterity to avoid being disarmed.

Some people are preternatural fast and Scions are doubly so... however, woe to the foe who meets a Scion with this Knack. By activating this Knack and spending the activation cost, the Scion's movements suddenly become blurred as he performs actions that are beyond those of even other Scions. For each 4 legend paid, a single action has its speed reduced by 2. The enormous amount of sheer control this Knack requires however, also costs the Scion a point of Willpower. In order to activate this Knack while using ''Ultimate Dexterity'', the Scion must pay another Willpower, for a total of 2 willpower + 4 legend per action.

When activating this knack, the Scion's eyes flashes with lightning for but a moment before he begins to run at a dizzying speed. When doing nothing else than running (even in a relatively circle such as around a person) the Scion becomes nigh impossible to hit. As long as he's running, his dodge DV is increased by his Epic Dexterity dots (and this stacks with Untouchable opponent). As soon as the Scion stops running however, this Knack is deactivated. For as long as the Knack is active, double the Scion's dashing speed.

By activating this Knack, the Scion pushes a friend into a defensive position that makes it nigh impossible for anyone to hit him. Pushing the ally 2 ticks back, but doubling his defense until his next action!

Whenever anyone around the Scion uses a Charisma, Appearance or Manipulation knack, a Scion possessing this Knack can pay the legend cost and chose a target (even himself) who becomes immune to that one attempt of the Knack in question. This doesn't prevent any other person (or the original person) from trying again.

A speech might put a fire in someones heart, qualm the rage of another or even infuriate one's foes. For a Scion with this Knack, nothing is more true. By spending the cost and by declaring himself to speak to either the opponents or his allies, the Scion begins to weave a speech so grand that not even the most stalwart foe can ignore it. He can either give a number of targets equal to his Legend a DV bonus equal to his Epic Charisma Dots, or refuel their sense of self and ability, so that they gain an additional dice bonus to their rolls equal to the Scion's Epic Charisma dots. This bonus lasts until the Scion stoops his speech. The Scion can't include himself in the Speech and he can't do anything other than defend himself during the speech.

Sometimes, the force of someone's personality is so great that they roll over their opponents in ways that leave them stunned and disempowered. This is doubly true for a Scion with this Knack. Once activated, this Knack literally pushes their opponents away! Whenever anyone of lesser or equal legend (unless they have a greater amount of epic charisma) wants to approach the Scion to a distance closer than his epic charisma successes yards, they must spend a 1 Willpower to even dare approach the scion per action they wish to close the distance between them. If they can't they are simply unable to approach the Scion. The Scion can approach them freely and if within range, the Scion may be attacked. Creatures of greater legend or Epic charisma can approach the Scion freely.

While coordinating an assault can be a very effective way of dealing with an opponent, some Scions have mastered their leadership abilities to heights that are miraculous even to other Scions. When using this knack, the target doesn't only lose DV, but if the DV reaches 0, any threshold successes above that applies as bonus damage to the attackers rolls (essentially allow DV to become negative against those attacks). The cost is per usage of the Knack.

While the ''Force of Personality'' Knack makes a Scion difficult to approach, Push of Personality enhances this to ridiculus levels. Whenever the Scion has the Force of Personality Knack active, he can activate the Push of Personality. Doing so pushes the targets out to a distance of his Epic Charisma successes yards. This is the shortest path possible and might even push the targets over cliffs and such things. They simply ''has'' to move out of way of the Scion's personality. This takes as long as it would take them to dash out of the area. If they can't go any further (because of walls or such), they attempt to climb the walls or get off the cliff to avoid the Scion.

Creatures of lesser legend and lesser Epic Charisma gets no resistance roll, but creatures of equal Legend or Charisma may spend a willpower to ignore the effect for a turn or they may roll their ''Charisma + Presence'' against the Scion's Charisma + Presence. Not only does the use of ''Do Want'' cause the target to want the user of the Knack, but once afflicted with Do Want, the Scion may also afflict the same target with ''Heavenly Obsession''. When doing so, the target becomes unable to focus on anything else. He simply must follow the user of this Knack. In combat, he can't attack anyone else and in a social situation, he becomes unable to muster any attention to someone else. This Knack lasts for a number of actions equal to the Scions roll of ''Appearance + Command''.
With this knack, a user of the ''Grip of Despair'' can target additional foes beyond the first with her Grip of Despair. By paying 1 legend point extra above the DV penalty cost, she can inflict the penalty of one additional target.

If blinded by fear for the Scion, all mortals around her are cowed and can't run away from or approach the Scion unless commanded to do so (either by the Scion or by another Scion with greater epic appearance). If the Scion using this knack has beauty as her specialty, the mortals instead fanatically begins to worship the scion as a god. They forget all previous devotions and happily perform any actions the Scion commands them to, but there's one flaw with this. The mortals will go to any lengths to protect the scion, including putting themselves into harms way and they act independently. While this is a bonus when they need to think for themselves, it's also a flaw as they may reach a conclusion that the scion doesn't want them to reach.

Regardless of the Scions divine appearance, it's clear to the mortals that the Scion is a god. If this conflicts with the mortal's previous beliefs, he might suffer a crisis of faith. For as long as the Scion is near, no mortal can deny the divinity that is inherent in the Scion.

The scion has such a command of the emotions of those around her that she can instill other emotions than the raw need to "have" the scion. When activating ''Do Want'', she can also pay an additional legend to gain 3 additional reasons why the target of ''Do Want'' wants her. It can be anything as simple as sexual desire, the need for a friend or more complex things such as 'the need to have someone that I can talk to about my deceased wife'. For each additional reason the Scion wants to instill a "want" in her in the target, pay 1 additional legend.

Deduction is something that is difficult if you have no idea about the past, but a Scion with this knack can for himself a picture of what happened at a place as long as he knows at least something of the place in question. Once in a room, he can spend the cost and spend at least a minute in the room (60 ticks) and form a near perfect image of what happened in the room. The scion gets a silent movie of what happened in the room but he only sees those people he can confirm was in the room with other skills.

The Perception of a Scion with this Knack is so perfect that he can view things that are invisible for antoher being. Any invisible beings of a legend lower of the Scion becomes visible to the Scion, even though he cant say anything about who the invisible being is. He just knows exactly were they are. Those of equal legend may contest this by a Dexterity + Stealth roll vs a Perception + Awareness roll.

While a lot of intelligent people tend to be clever and think fast, it's very difficult to surprise a Scion with this Knack. Whenever Activating this Knack, the Scion grants himself a ''shield'' against the use of another Knack. If the Scion is targeted by a another Knack when this Knack his active, he ignores the use of that Knack! A Knack that would deal aggravated damage simply deals whatever damage it would deal otherwise. The Scion has simply planned for that Knack being used against him. Once spent, this Knack needs to be reactivated.

When a Scion reacts, time seems to stand still. Doubly so for a Scion possessing this Knack, for few things can ever overcome his sense of constant awareness. Whenever the Scion declares a ''Defensive Do Over'', he increases his DV by his full Athletics + Legend instead of just his Athletics/2. However, this has an increased cost of an additional Legend an a point of Willpower. Doing so also increases the speed of the action he took last by 1 tick (thus pushing him back one more tick until he acts again).

Whenever the Scion needs a sudden empowerment of Willpower, he can activate this knack. For each legend spent, he or she instantly regains a point of willpower. However, this comes at a prize. For each point of willpower regained this way each scene, the Scion must sleep for a full 2 hours before being able to regain Willpower or Legend again. This is reduced by a single hour per dot of Epic Stamina the character has. The minimum time a Scion must sleep is 2 hours.

''Example: Aaron wishes to regain 4 points of willpower as he's mid battle with one of Set's Scions... He has Epic Stamina 5 at the moment this happens, so he would normally spend 8 legend points and be forced to rest for 16 hours. Now however, he must only rest for 11 hours.''

By channeling their own wisdom, mortals can come to great conclusions. Scions however, are preternatural wise and with this knack, this become clear as the sky during a cloudless day. When contemplating an action for at least an hour, he Scion can focus his innate wisdom and knowledge of the world to devise the wisest course of action. When doing so, the Scion may make a single statement about a course of action (such as "Seeking a truce with the titan spawn that plagues the village might be benefitial") and the Storyteller will answer that question with a "Yes", "No" or "Ming". Any situation can be contemplated once, but it for every time the Scion choose to contemplate an action again, the cost increases by 1 Legend and 1 Willpower and he must sit for another extra hour. Thus, asking four questions would cost a total of 10 Legend and 10 Willpower, but would let the player ask 4 questions about a single subject.

This is a last of knacks we use for our scion game. Knack suggestions can be added under "Discussion"

Antal

43 hero knacks, 45 demigod knacks and 11 god knacks

Actions

Vilken action en knack är kan ses under just Action.

Passive: Always Active
Reaction: No action, can be done anytime
Diceless: Done as a diceless action, no speed
Attack: Done with a weapon, use weapon speed
Misc: Speed 5 action
Misc+x: Speed 5+x action
Attack+x: Uses weapon speed although increased by x ticks.

Epic Strength

4/7/0

Brace for Impact

Rank: Hero
Type: Combat
Requirement: Epic Strength 2
Cost: 3 Legend
Action: Reaction
According to Newton, a force always create an equal response and a Scion with this Knack can truly play around with the laws of physics. When wielding a shield and the Scion is either hit or missed by an attack, he can reflexivly spend the cost for this Knack and the opponent is then thrown away by his own strength. Damage is still dealt to the Scion if the attack was hit, but afterwards, the attacker is flung away by his own strength as if he had grappled himself and used the thrown manuver.

Crushing Grip

Action: Diceless

Get a grip

Rank: Hero
Type: Combat
Requirement: None
Cost: None
Action: Passive
Disarming foes can sometimes be dangerously easy, but there are Scions who's grip are that of the giants. Whenever anyone tries to disarm a Scion with this Knack, that Scion adds a strength + athletics roll to the difficulty of disarming him.

Glass Breaker

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Requirement: Crushing Grip
Cost: 2 Legend
Action: Diceless
Having the ability to shred armor or tear apart walls are fairly amazing, but many things, such as poison, fails to affect an enemy with the skin of rock or iron. Whenever a Scion uses this Knack however, even the most thickskinned creature can be harmed by the sheer power of this foes blow. Whenever the Scion hits, damage is dealt as normal, but effects (such as poison and other things) are checked against the Aggravated Soak of the opponent. If the damage is higher than the aggravated soak, poisons and such things take effect as if they had wounded the opponent even if no damage is dealt.

Holy Bound

Holy Rampage

Horrid Pain

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Requirements: Epic Intelligence 2
Cost: 1 Legend
Action: Attack
Whenever a Scion possessing this Knack makes a successful attack that causes damage towards an opponent after having paid the activation cost, the Wound Penalties for the wounded is increased by 2. These wound penalties can be negated by Epic Stamina, but only if it would normally cover the increased penalty. These penalties last an entire scene and the Knack needs to be activated again. Its effect doesn't stack.

Hurl to the Horizon

I stand my ground!

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Requirements: Legend 5, Epic Strength 2, Crushing Grip
Cost: 1 Legend
Action: Reaction

By sheer force of will, stable footing and a tremendous ability to grapple back, a Scion with this Knack is simply more difficult to throw than something far heavier than himself. Whenever someone has grappled him and attempts to throw him, the Scion can spend the legend cost and reduce the throwers Epic Strength by a number of dots equal to his own when calculating the distance he is thrown. This also applies against other Epic Attributes (for example wind Grapple).

Incoming Rebound

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Requirements: Uplifting Might
Cost: 2 Legend + 2 Willpower
Action: Reaction
Sometimes, a Scion hit by an attack simply gains momentum instead of slowing down. A Scion with this knack can turn that into reality by spending the cost for this Knack whenever hit by an attack. Once paid, the Scion dedicates himself to an attack that is direction into the closest foe within his range. Once commited, he can't choose any other action than attack (unless there are no opponents left at which point the attack simply dissipates) the next time his tick is up. This attack however, has a bonus number of dice on his attack roll equal to the automatic successes on the damage roll that hit him when activating this knack.

Overpowering Assault

Rank: Hero
Type: Combat
Requirements: None
Cost: 1 Legend
Action: Attack
Some Scions are simply so mighty that their sheer blows shatter an opponents ability to defend himself. By spending a point of legend, the scion can land a devastating attack that sends his foe back and reduces his chance to defending himself momentarily. If this attack hits and causes damage, the target has a DV penalty equal to the Scions Epic Strength dots against the Scions next attack, which of course can be another Overpowering Attack if the Scion so wishes, although the benefit of this Knack doesn't stack.

Pressure Control

Rank: Demigod
Requirements: Math Genius
Cost: 1 Legend
Action: Reaction
Ordinary mortals are confined to their strength in such a way that they can't affect the world around them, unless they're physically touching what they want to manipulate. Scions however, aren't necessarily restricted to that. A scion with this knack can spend a single point of legend to be able to strike at a foe at a distance equal to his legend yards as long as he has a clear path towards the foe and can reasonably guess were he is. The pressure must be able to reach his target.

Sonic Throw

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Prerequisites: Epic Strength 5
Cost: 3 Legend
Action: Attack
Normally, most creatures can't throw anything hard enough to hurt them by the sheer force of the throw thanks to the subtle workings of fate, but a Scion with this Knack can completely ignore that, as they throw things so hard that they actually cause the very friction of the air around them to burn them as well as the sonic boom they cause to damage their foe. Whenever they throw anything and pay the legend cost, that thing takes damage equal to their unmodified strength + epic strength and travels the distance to the top of their flight at double the speed they normally would travel at.

Staggering Blow

Rank: Hero
Type: Combat
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 4 Legend
Action: Attack
A scion with this knack can by sheer brute force knock a foe so senseless that it takes time for him to recover. By spending 4 legend, the scion can make an attack that, if it hits, causes the target to be pushed back by a number of ticks equal to the Scions epic strength dots. This can't push the target beyond Tick 12.

Titan's Grip

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Prerequisites: Get a Grip
Action: Passive
Cost: None
There are only a few things in the world who can match the strength of the gods, but even those find the grip of Demigods or gods with this Knack to be beyond even their own supernatural ability. Whenever someone tries to disarm a Demigod or God with this knack, the Demigod's epic Strength successes adds to the difficulty.

Also, whenever the Scion is grappling, all Brawl Dice turns into automatic successes.

Uplifting Might

Epic Dexterity

5/4/1

Awesome Ally

Rank: Hero
Type: Combat
Requirement: Epic Charisma 1
Action: Reaction
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Willpower
It's not unheard of to sacrifice oneself for the benefit of others, and a Scion with this Knack is simply awesome at just that. Whenever one of his allies is the target of an attack, the Scion may fling himself firsthand into the line of fire, taking the attack instead of his ally. The Scion is reduced to DV 0 when doing this in order to take the attack head on. The ally who was supposed to be struck is empowered by the Scion's sacrifice and regains a point of willpower.

Cat's Grace

Rank: Hero
Type: Misc
Requirement: none
Action: None
Cost: none
This knack imbues the scion with the uncanny ability to alwasy remain on his feet despite treachourus terrain or an enemy's attempt to knock him down. For example, a character with this knack never suffers knockdown. The player does not need to roll, but still takes damage. He still suffers penalties on speed for moving through kneedeep mud or water, but his dice pool remains unaffected. The scion can also perform in high heels as if he was wearing flats.

Distracting Movement

Rank: Hero
Type: Combat
Requirement: None
Action: Misc
Cost: None
A scion with this knack can choose to divide the bonus to his DV from his epic dexterity among himself and those around him. If he's within touching range of a target for melee, or running target for ranged fighting, he can, once per action, remove some of his own DV and give it to another, or return some of his given away DV to himself.

This Knack can also be used to divert attention to himself, and thus imposing a penalty on someone's ability to perceive others. The player can give himself and his opponent a penalty to any skill, up to his own effective Rank in that skill.

Example: Tim Buyorn, a scion of Apollo, decides that his dance simply must have the attention of everyone in the room as his companion sneaks past the guards into the room they're guarding. Thus, he uses 'Distracting Movement' to impose a penalty of -4 dots to his own dance and to the guards perception checks to notice his companion.

Everywhere Man

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Prerequisites: Untouchable Opponent
Cost: 3 legend
Action: Diceless
By the virtue of his own extremely flexible body, a scion with this knack can appear to be... Everwhere on the battlefield. No opponent is safe from the acrobaticly moving, feinting and dodging scion who appears where he wants to be. When the Scion spends 3 point of legend, he can instantaneously be wherever he wants to be on the battlefield, seemingly disappearing from where he just was and reappearing wherever he wants, be it close to the opponents commander, suddenly on the back of the phoenix they're fighting etc. The only requirement is that the scion actually has a mean of getting there (such as simply dodging all the soldiers or being thrown by his epic strength ally). This doesn't take any action by any of the bystanders to the stunt and they are free to act as they wish. Any cover or similiar means of preventing an attack is ignored by the scion for the action following the use of Everywhere Man.

Hecaton Warrior

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Requirement: Omnidexterity
Action: Diceless
Cost: 2 Legend + 2 willpower
With a fury that is no less than that of the gigantes of legend, a Scion with this Knack can overwhelm an opponent with his blows. When paying the legend cost, the Scion can make a total of three attacks this tick with one less dot of Epic Dex and a dice penalty of -4 (Example: A Scion with a dice pool of 12+4 will make three attacks at 8+2 dice).

Impossible Shot

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Requirement: Trick shooter
Cost: 1 Legend
Action: Reaction (to Attack)
The Scion can pull of stunts that seem impossible even to other Scions. When activating the Knack, the Scion is instatly treated as if he had been aiming for 3 ticks. He can do shots that are ridiculsly even to a user of the Trick Shooter Knack.

Instant Snatch

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Requirement: Epic Perception 4, Lightning Reflexes
Cost: 3 legend + 1 willpower
Action: Reaction +3
With lightning fast reflexes, a Scion possessing this Knack can become a sorting machine of epic propotions, or become the greatest thief ever known to man. When activating this Knack, the Scion snatches something so quickly out of the air or from someone's hand that they actually perform the action they tried with the object without it! Doing so requires the Scion roll more successes on a Dexterity + Larceny roll than the target rolls on a Dexterity + Awareness roll. If the object is a Relic, the Relic's rating is added as automatic successes to the targets roll. Also, if the target is more difficult to disarm, it might get to use another stat than dexterity to avoid being disarmed.

Lightning Sprinter

Rank: Hero
Type: Misc
Requirement: None
Cost: 1 Legend
Action: Reaction
When activated, the Scion's speed doubles during dash actions. The scion is also unaffected by movement speed penalties caused by mortal terrain.

Lightning Striker

Rank: God
Type: Combat
Requirement: Thousand Punches
Cost: 4 Legend per action + 1 Willpower
Action: Misc
Some people are preternatural fast and Scions are doubly so... however, woe to the foe who meets a Scion with this Knack. By activating this Knack and spending the activation cost, the Scion's movements suddenly become blurred as he performs actions that are beyond those of even other Scions. For each 4 legend paid, a single action has its speed reduced by 2. The enormous amount of sheer control this Knack requires however, also costs the Scion a point of Willpower. In order to activate this Knack while using Ultimate Dexterity, the Scion must pay another Willpower, for a total of 2 willpower + 4 legend per action.

Monkey Climber

Rank: Hero
Type: Movement
Requirement: None
Cost: None
Action: None
The scion can climb at his normal speed. He's not able to dash while climbing, but the movement bonus from epic dex still applies.

Needlepoint Trauma

Rank: Hero
Type: Combat
Requirements: Epic Dexterity 2, Epic Perception 2
Cost: 1 Willpower
Action: Reaction
While the awesome powers of Scions allows for killing blows with ease, sometime's it's not death but incapacitation a Scion wants. A Scion possessing this knack is extremly apt at knowing exactly how much damage to cause. Whenever he deals damage, he might activate this Knack and proclaim the lowest health level he wants the target to reach. If his attack would deal more damage than that, it's reduced to that exact amount of damage.

Perfect Coordination

Rank: Hero
Type: Combat
Requirements: None
Cost: 3 legend for the length of the scene
Action: Misc
There are those scion's who's aim and co-ordination is so perfect that firing two weapons at once, or firing one weapon more than once, becomes easier than firing a weapon once. Whenever a scion with this knack makes two attacks and has spent the legend cost, the penalty for doing so is -2 instead of -4.

The Scion never fails to coordinate his body parts and can thus move his hands in exactly the same way, making his left side move exactly like his right etc.

Snakelike Movement

Rank: Hero
Type: Combat
Requirements: None
Cost: 2 legend or 5 Legend
Action: Reaction
Wrestling can utilize both dexterity and strength, but scions with dexterity as their focus has a much easier time avoiding grapples or taking over them. By spending 2 legend, a scion with this knack can add his Epic Dexterity dots as dice against grapple attempts (this can be done as a reaction to a grapple attempt) or inflict bashing damage as per the clinch attack. This can only be done once per action of the one winning the grapple or as a reaction to any action taking by the other grappler (such as a crush). The other option of this Knack is to spend 5 Legend and thus, against one attack or action, increase your DV by your Epic Dex Dots, up to your normal DV.

Speed Devil

Rank: God
Type: Combat
Requirements: Fast as thought, Untouchable Opponent
Cost: 1 Legend
Action: Misc
When activating this knack, the Scion's eyes flashes with lightning for but a moment before he begins to run at a dizzying speed. When doing nothing else than running (even in a relatively circle such as around a person) the Scion becomes nigh impossible to hit. As long as he's running, his dodge DV is increased by his Epic Dexterity dots (and this stacks with Untouchable opponent). As soon as the Scion stops running however, this Knack is deactivated. For as long as the Knack is active, double the Scion's dashing speed.

Take Cover

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Requirements: Awesome Ally
Cost: 1 Legend
Activation: Misc
It helps to get pushed aside from an incoming attack, but for Scions with this Knack, the push becomes more of a safehouse than a movement. By activating this Knack, the Scion pushes a friend into a defensive position that makes it nigh impossible for anyone to hit him. Pushing the ally 2 ticks back, but doubling his defense until his next action!

Thousand Punches

Rank: God
Type: Combat
Requirements: Speed Devil
Cost: 5 Legend + 2 Willpower
Action: Attack+5
The Scion moves in a blinding flash, nearly instantly hitting a number of foes around him equal to his legend. He can't attack a foe more than once but as long as he can reach a foe, he can use one of his attacks against him.

Untouchable Opponent

Rank: Hero
Type: Combat
Requirements: None
Cost: 1 Legend
Action: Reflexive
Whenever targeted by an attack the Scion is aware of, he may pay the activation cost to double his DV against that one attack.

Epic Stamina

7/5/1

Blood and Ichor

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Lethal wound level per knack
The blood of a Scion contains both the divine ichor of his parents as well as a measure of the Scion's own divine power. By splattering his own blood and ichor upon a target, he can gift away one of his Physical Knacks (Strength, Dexterity, Stamina) for the scene. Doing so costs 1 legend plus 1 lethal wound level per Knack the scion wants to gift away. For the remainder of the Scene, the scion is unable to use that Knack himself, but he can heal the damage or recover the legend without the target loosing the usage of that Knack.

Damage Conversion

Action: Reaction

Elemental Resistance

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Passive
There's a difference between being resistant to damage and resistant to cold and heat... a scion with this Knack is nigh unaware of the temperature around him as he's unaffected by it. Whenever he takes damage from the elements around him, halve the trauma value that's added to the damage pool.

New System: In the new system, the Scion instead reduce the severity rating by 2.

Engine of Construction

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Holy Fortitude, Epic Dex 4
Action: See text
Cost: 4 Legend + 1 Willpower
When a Scion possesses this knack gets to work, he does really get to work! The speed at which he works is multiplied by his epic dexterity successes, halving the time at dot 1, cutting it by 3 with dot 2... This makes awesome feats avaible, such as constructing a great wall in no time at all.

Enraged Revenge

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Reaction
Cost: 1 Legend per Tick
Whenever a Scion with this Knack takes damage he can spend, as a reaction, 1 or more legend (up to 3 for Hero, 6 for Demigod and 12 for God) to push himself down a number of Ticks equal to the amount of legend spent. This can only be done as a response to another characters attack.

Heal Self

Rank: Hero
Action: Misc

Inner Turmoil

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Passive
The Scion's body is in a constant flux, ever burning and renewing itself through its own ichor. Whenever the scion is affected by a poison, he halves the dice pool not once per poison tick, but twice per poison tick. He also heals Bashing and Lethal damage at twice the rate that a normal Scion does.

Juggernaut

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Holy Rampage
Cost: None
Action: Passive
Any scion possessing this knack becomes a virtually unstoppable force. The Scion can keep running straight through objects he could tear apart and he doesn't need to stop to tear anything apart while running as he just bursts through it. The scion must still be able to destroy the object as normal to be able to use this ability. If an object is beyond his capability to destroy, he stops.

Keep Going

Rank: Hero
Prerequistes: None
Cost: 1 Legend or 1 legend + 1 willpower
Action: Misc
The Endurance that Scion's with Epic stamina display can be a truly awsome thing to behold, but those possessing this Knack are even more so... Whenever an attack would stun, paralyze or prevent the Scion from moving, he manages to shrug it off just enough so that he can keep moving in the same direction he was moving, despite maybe even suffering a mortal wound. If grappled, he remains pinned and held, but he can still use his move each action that he spends a legend point to activate this knack. If under the influence of a knack that prevents him from moving (such as Seroent's Gaze) from a being of equal legend or higher, he must spend an additional willpower to the cost to move.

Sealing Flesh

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Self-Healing, Damage Conversion
Action: Reaction
Cost: 3 Legend
Many Scions have the luxury of seldom taking any serious damage, but even those few might risk bleeding to death. That's not the case with those Scions who possess this Knack. The ichor pushing through their veins are simply to strong to allow such things as blood loss or damage to slow them down and whenever they take damage, they may simply spend the cost of this Knack to reflexively heal a single level of Lethal damage from that attack (thus it can't be used when taking bashing or aggravated damage). As an added benefit, that wound doesn't bleed and doesn't cause further damage because of blood loss.

Size Does Matter

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Legend 3, Stamina 5
Action: Misc
Cost: 4 Legend
While the giants of legend are sometime so massive that they can pluck up a Scion with their thumb and indexfinger, Scion's doesn't have that luxury. This knack however, changes that. When this knack is activated, it becomes clear just how large the Scion is as he stretches and stands straighter. This increases the Scion's movement and dash by a number equal to the epic stamina dots the character has, plus that he gets a number of dice equal to his Epic stamina as bonus dice on any grapple he does against opponents of lesser size and legend.

Uncrushable Body

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Reaction
Cost: 1 Legend
While strength is required to lift a great mass, someone who has a body hard as iron can appear to be as strong simply because they refuse to bulge under a great weight. Whenever anyone with this Knack pays the legend cost, weight they can hold up or weight that presses down on them has not only to face that characters Strength, Athletics and Epic Strength, but it must also pass a number of dots equal to that Scions Epic Stamina, as these dots adds to the total carrying capacity the scion can hold up without doing anything with it.

Unending Healing

Rank: God
Prerequisites: Sealing Flesh, Regeneration
Action: Reaction
Cost: 5 Legend + 1 Willpower
Much like the previous Knack, Sealing Flesh, a Scion possessing this Knack can ignore some of the wounds caused to him. Whenever he suffers a damage that causes Aggravated damage to him, he may spend the legend cost to reflexively heal 1 point of aggravated damage and even restore some of the flesh taken away by the attack! If the attack would cripple him, this Knack might actually counter that. If the attack was performed by a being of lesser legend, the crippling effect simply vanishes. If equal, you must beat the damage roll with a Stamina + Fortitude roll to make the effect vanish. This knack can't vanish a crippling effect from a being with higher legend.

Unstoppable

Rank: Demigod
Prerequistes: Keep Going
Cost: 2 Legend + 1 Willpower
Action: Misct
Even though a Scion possessing this Knack might be knocked unconcious he's simply to stubborn to stop. When paying the legend cost, he rolls a number of dice equal to his Epic Stamina Dots. Each success indicates an action were he can keep moving around and act even though he should be unconcious, or even dead! As soon as these actions are up though, the Scion collapses and returns to the state he would be in if he hadn't activated this Knack. The only drawback to this Knack is that it can't be activated if the Scion's body is destroyed in the moment of death and neither can the Scions body be healed back into life if he should normally be dead, altough this Knack can be activated when bleeding out and thus help getting to the nearest healer.

Epic Charisma

8/13/4

A Moment Please

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Charmer
Cost: 1 Legend + 2 Willpower
Action: Misc
In the midst of combat or some other stressful situation, being granted that extra time is just enough to sometimes allow a Scion to either get away with outrageous things or make sure that others doesn't get away with it. Whenever the Scion activates this knack by paying the legend cost, he rolls Charisma + Politics and completely catches everyone's attention, halting even a raging titan spawn that's just about to chop of the Scion's head. For a number of ticks equal to the successes scored, the Scion holds everyone's attention and can speak freely about whatever he wishes as everyone see's it as vital for the current situation. Only those who are in immediate danger (such as falling or slowly being engulfed by lava) may act and only to make sure that they survive. This affect the Scion's allies as well.

As long as the Scion speaks he can use any social knacks or the like, but he can't physically affect a foe (unless he successfully uses another Knack, such as Overt Order). He's also free to move around but the moment his crowd no longer hears him speak, the effect of this Knack wears of.

Believe Your Own Press

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 1 Legend
Action: Reaction

Blazing Aura

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Epic Charisma 4+
Cost: 4 Legend + 1 Willpower
Action:Misc
By sheer force of personality, the Scion unleashes the entierity of his being upon an unsuspecting foe. For a sheer moment, the target gets to know just how forceful the Scion's personality really is as he suffers the Scions legend number of dice of aggravated damage. The skin of the target blisters with intensity as a wave of charisma pulsates from the Scion. This Knack can't be used on the same target twice in a scene.

Blesses Affection

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Charmer
Action: Misc
Cost: 3 Legend + 1 Willpower
Winning the affection of someone is reassuring of ones ego, but if you give your affection to someone it can have greater results. Woe to the foes of the Scion who possesses this Knack as when the Scion activates it and spends a full action reassuring his affection to someone else, that person is enhanced and defended. First, the targets Willpower is refilled with a number of Willpower dots equal to the Scions Epic Charisma dots, then he may instead use the Scion's Charisma instead of his own Wits when he rolls against manipulation or other mind influencing effects. Such is the quirk of this Knack though that it only lasts for a scene and the Scion can only bless one target at a time with his affection.

By Virtue of...

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: All virtues must be 2 dots or higher
Cost: None
Action: Passive
The virtues of the gods are imparted to their Scions by the means of their ichor, but some Scions gain more than just their parents virtues. A Scion possessing this Knack has inherited a near fanatic fervor to which he devotes himself to one of his Virtues. When this Knack is taken, pick a Virtue, which from know on, gives a number of bonus successes equal to its dot value whenever the Scion spends a willpower point to fuel his virtue into his actions (i.e. a Virtue with 3 dots would normally give 4 bonus successes but with this Knack it gives 7 instead). The Drawback to this Knack is that whenever the Scion chooses to repress a virtue, it costs 2 willpower instead of 1.

Special: This Knack must be taken once for each virtue it applies too.

Don't Back Down

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Leader of Men
Cost: 2 Legend
Action: Misc
Mortals are far to easy to destroy for gods and titan spawn alike. So how better enhance them than by giving them a leader they not only can't count on, but also who enhances them? This bonus only applies to mortals.

Divine Censorship

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 4 Legend
Action: Reaction
Whenever anyone around the Scion uses a Charisma, Appearance or Manipulation knack, a Scion possessing this Knack can pay the legend cost and chose a target (even himself) who becomes immune to that one attempt of the Knack in question. This doesn't prevent any other person (or the original person) from trying again.

Divine Leadership

Rank: Demigod

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Charmer, Epic Appearance 2
Action: Misc
Cost: 2 Legend + 2 Willpower

Force of Personality

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: Presence 3
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend per action + 1 Willpower

Heroic Aura

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 1 Legend
Action: Misc
Fear can paralyze the heart of even the bravest man... Even the aesir might sometime feel a shiver down their spine when the full terror of a titan spawn opens up on them. When activating this Knack however, a Scion's aura simply become so heroic that such things hardly affects her. All allies that remain within the sight of the Scion (including himself) gets his legend bonus to resist any rolls against fear. This even gives mortals a chance to resist such Knacks as Dreadful Mien.

Immortal Gaze

Rank: God
Prerequisites: Blazing Aura
Cost: 5 Legend + 1 Willpower

When Activating his Blazing aura knack, the Scion can pay the additional cost for Immortal Gaze as a reaction and convert his dice of aggravated damage into levels of aggravated! This damange can't be soaked as it's strictly the personality of the god that blisters the flesh of the one to meet his ire...

Just another Great Foe

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 1 legend
Action: Reaction
While seeing your opponents strength grow is usually a bad sign and the stuff that crushes morale, there are a few people who seek the glory that only the strongest of opponents can provide. A Scion with this Knack thrives in the thick of battle and nothing empowers him more than seeing an opponent gain strength so that the battle will be even more glorious!

Whenever an opponent regains one or more points of willpower, the Scion may pay one legend point to regain a willpower of his own.

Just that Awsome

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: None

Leader of Men

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 2 Legend
Action: Reaction
While coordinating an assault can be a very effective way of dealing with an opponent, some Scions have mastered their leadership abilities to heights that are miraculous even to other Scions. When using this knack, the target doesn't only lose DV, but if the DV reaches 0, any threshold successes above that applies as bonus damage to the attackers rolls (essentially allow DV to become negative against those attacks). The cost is per usage of the Knack.

Leadership

Rank: Hero
Prerequisite: None
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Willpower + 1 Epic skill usage
Action: Misc
The scion is not just a leader, but an idol to follow. By paying the activation cost and spending a misc action, the scion can spend one of his epic skill uses to refresh the same epic skill usage on another character.

Listen Closely

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 1 Legend per Scene
Action: 1 minute action (60 ticks)
Being able to remember something is all good, but sometimes you need other people to remember things. When activiating this knack, a Scion can force a memory into someone and make them remember it perfectly. When paying the cost, the Scion effectivly gives anyone listening to him the 'Perfect Memory' Knack that applies only to the Scene. He can give a number of people this benefit for each dot of legend he has. If he pays the cost again, he can instill this benefit to the same number of people.

Only beings with Legend can try to avoid this effect. By spending a Willpower point, they do not get the benefit from this knack.

Physical Understanding

Rank: God
Prerequisites: Empathic Compassion
Cpst: 1 Legend per extra health level
Action: Reaction
As per the prerequisite Knack, you can move damage from the target of this Knack to yourself. This Knack however, lets you pay an additional 1 legend per extra health level above the one health level transferred with the prerequisite knack.

Polygamus Love

Rank: God
Prerequisites: Blessed Affection
Cost: 1 Legend
Action: Reaction
A god's love isn't limited to just one person... this Knack makes it possible to use Blessed Affection on more than one target, as long as the Scion pays one extra legend per target above the first. As a side effect of this Knack, the Scion possessing this knack has enough love to go around so that having multiple partners is no longer considered problematic unless fate itself says so.

Pull yourself together!

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 3 Legend
Action: Misc
Sometimes when there's to much going on around you, when your feelings are clouded and perhaps your judgment is impaired, a simple slap in the face and a shout might suffice to bring you back to your senses. A Scion with this knack can do just that, but his ability to make someone snap back to reality extends into the realm of supernatural powers such as boons and knacks as well. When he's in reach of someone who's inactive because of a Boon that affects either his senses or his mind, or a knack that has the same effect, he can spend the legend cost and force that person back into the action for a number of ticks equal to the successes he rolls on a Charisma + Command.

These ticks are counted as if they are spent for the power, thus using this Knack more than once, reduces the effect a boon or knack has.

Push of Personality

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Prerequisites: Force of Personality
Cost: 2 Legend per target + 1 Willpower
Action: Misc
While the Force of Personality Knack makes a Scion difficult to approach, Push of Personality enhances this to ridiculus levels. Whenever the Scion has the Force of Personality Knack active, he can activate the Push of Personality. Doing so pushes the targets out to a distance of his Epic Charisma successes yards. This is the shortest path possible and might even push the targets over cliffs and such things. They simply has to move out of way of the Scion's personality. This takes as long as it would take them to dash out of the area. If they can't go any further (because of walls or such), they attempt to climb the walls or get off the cliff to avoid the Scion.

Creatures of lesser legend and lesser Epic Charisma gets no resistance roll, but creatures of equal Legend or Charisma may spend a willpower to ignore the effect for a turn or they may roll their Charisma + Presence against the Scion's Charisma + Presence. If they win, they are immune to this use of the Knack, but if they spend a willpower, they must spend a willpower each action to stay inside the area.

Those of greater Legend or Epic Charisma isn't affected at all by this Knack.

Right is Right (Demigod)

Prerequistes: Believe Your Own Press
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Willpower
Action: Special, see text
Sometimes, a simple glance is enough to convey your words. Maybe a scion doesn't have time for a lengthy argument or perhaps he simply wants to shove his point across the board with nothing but a glance. By spending the legend cost, the scion can say a number of sentences equal to his legend (of roughly up to his legend words each) and shot the point across to his target, without even as much as speaking! This takes a single tick and the target simply knows the entire argument the scion would make. This Knack reduces the time an argument takes but it doesn't increase its effectiveness.

Stoic Presence (Demigod)

Prerequisites: Heroic Aura
Cost: 1 legend + 1 Willpower
Action: Misc
In the face of terrible odds, legendary foes and the titans themselves, even the Scions of the gods might tremble. A Scion with this Knack however, can use his stoic nature to influence those around him and make them far less affectable by the opponents. Whenever a Scion sees someone get affected by a Supernatural boon, power or knack, he can pay the activation cost to temporarily treat the targets legend as if they had the same legend (unless the target has a higher legend at which point the target is unaffected) thus preventing lesser scions from being affected by for example Serpent's Gaze.

Suave Smile (Demigod)

Prerequistes: Charmer
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Willpower
Action: Reaction
While manipulation and appearance can get you a long way, they can only get you so far if violence breaks out. A Scion with such this knack however, is simply to charismatic and Suave to attack without taking a second thought before doing so. When attacked, the Scion may activate Suave Smile to flash a bright chery smile that completly nullifies the aggression aimed towards her. For the remainder of the combat, the foe affected by Suave Smile can't attack the Scion unless the Scion attacks first. Anyone effected by this Knack can surpress it for an action by spending a willpower point.

Stop!

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Divine Censorship, Overt Order
Cost: 3 Legend + 1 Willpower per target
Action: Misc
Sometimes, when someone calls you out on your actions, you might just stop and consider just what you are doing... For a Scion with this Knack, this is tremendously usefull... When activating the Knack, the Scion calls out to a number of enemies and roll Charisma + Command. For each 3 successes, he may call out to a foe and berrate them for their actions. These foes instantly stop what they are doing and considers their actions as per the Scions words for up to his legend Misc actions. The targets may spend a Willpower point to ignore the effect for a single action, but they will again stop once that action is over. If attacked, the targets will cease to listen to the Scion, but they are treated as DV 0 against the first attack.

This knack is often roleplayed as the result of the Knack might just lead to either new allies or the foes and the Scion parting ways without harm done.

Tounge of the Gods

Rank: God
Prerequisites: Firebrand Speaker, Epic Appearance 5+
Action: See text (Misc action for each named character)
Cost: 10 Legend + 1 Willpower
The Firebrand Speaker knack improves his allies sense of worth and ability, but there are Scions who have a voice so strong and clear that their words simply carry with them the power of legend. Whenever he activates this Knack, the player decrees a speech of power, mentioning the legend of his allies and naming each one of them in turn (up to a number equal to his Epic Charisma Dots).

By paying the cost for the Knack, his words seem to fill the air with power and worth, instantly granting each named character a number of legend points equal to a roll of his Charisma + Presence (do not include Epic charisma successes) and a number of legend equal to two times his Epic Charisma dots. (Example: Leon has 4 Charisma, 4 Epic Charisma and 4 presence. He rolls 8 dice and rolls 5 successes. He then gives his comrades 5+8 = 13 legend points each).

This Knack can only be activated once per scene for all characters.

Epic Manipulation

5/6/1

Been there Done That

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Takes one to Know one
Cost: 2 Legend
Action: Reaction
Some Scions have tried it all when it comes to being manipulative and sneaky. Thus, when paying the cost, they add their legend when trying to resist other peoples manipulations as long as their legend is higher or equal to the one trying to manipulate them.

Breaking News

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 2 Legend
Action: Misc
Whenever you really need to get something into the air, it helps to make it sound important and a Scion with this Knack can make that with anything he says! By spending the cost and giving a general description of what he wants to make the hottest topic in the room, the discussions in the room quickly changes to whatever the Scion wants. People around simply become intrigued by the topic at hand and they discuss it at the best of their ability for as long as they are uninterrupted (unless they spend a willpower point to avoid being piqued by the topic). This Knack has no effect in a battle.

Divine Feint

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 1 Legend
Action: Attack
While many mortals are adept at feinting in combat, the divine blood of the scions allow them to surpass this with ease. A Scion with this knack can spend 1 Legend points and perform a blinding manuver that litterary misleads any opponent in combat. The Scion rolls manipulation + presence and if he gathers more successes than the target of this knack (who rolls with Wits + Empathy), the target takes a -1 per success above the target, plus the scions dots in epic manipulation penalty to his next attackroll vs. the scion.

Fiery Passion

Rank: God
Requirements: Touched By A Feeling
Action: Misc+5
Cost: 3 legend points + 1 Willpower

While Touched By A Feeling can impart the sensation or feeling of something into those touched by the Scion, this knack amplifies this to extreme amounts. The passion simply overloads the senss of even legendary beings. Whenever the Scion uses the Touched by a Feeling knack, they can also activate this knack to enhance the effect. Instead of a penalty, the target becomes inactive for a number of actions equal to the Epic Manipulation dots of the Scion. Further, the Scion can boost this Knack by paying the cost more than once to increase the number of actions they are inactive by his or her Epic Manipulation dots. The Scion can do this a maximum number of times equal to his legend.

Holier than Thou

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Gods' Honest
Cost: 2 Legend + 2 Willpower
Action: Reaction
Dice Pool: Manipulation + Command
Even being a Scion can't always guarantee your success if the fates choose to be against you. When failure is at hand and everything the Scion has been trying to do unwinds... and every finger in the room points to the Scion, this Knack allows him to completly dodge that bullet, perhaps long enough for him to actually escape the Scene alive. When a Scion's manipulations fail, he can activate this Knack to instantly throw the blame on another (perhaps unsuspecting target). This lasts for a number of ticks equal to the Scion's Epic Manipulation successes, giving him apt time to leave the scene before everyone realize that the person in question was just innocently accused... Extra's never realize the truth, despite the time having passed and they need someone to point it out to them. The scions blame on someone else registers as a lie for Takes one to Know one.

No You Don't!

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Willpower
Action: Misc
Even the Scions can no longer be sure about what is right or wrong when this Knack comes into play. Whenever someone states something they know to be true, the Scion can activate this Knack to make them doubt themselves and make even the most blazing truth seem somewhat less in the eyes of listeners. Even physical evidence becomes somewhat less proving and less important than they originally seemed. This makes anything that the victim of this knack says register as a lie for those who have Takes One to Know One and it also makes those with Perfect Memory doubt themselves as the user of this knack points out things that makes their memory seem doubtful. To be certain of what they remember, they must spend a Willpower point.

Operative Word

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Overt Order
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend point

As useful as Overt Order is, it allows about as much guile and secrecy as a rocket launcher. This Knack fixes that deficiency. The Scion can now mix his Overt Orders in with his usual speech. Just a slight shift in emphasis is all he needs to make himself clear, such as "Wouldn't it be great if corporations would just shut the door on outsourcing?" to get the guard by the door to shut it. The Scion could even use a gesture to communicate their desires if the action is simple enough. Characters without Epic Perception can't notice the command and those with must succeed on a (Perception + Awareness) opposed by the Scion's (Manipulation + Command) to notice it, though characters with Epic Intelligence can make an (Intelligence + Awareness) after the fact to figure out what happened.

Read Between the Lines

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 1 Legend
Action: Diceless
By speaking in unusual words or using secret codewords, people can avoid that others understand what they say. A Scion with this Knack takes this to the extreme by using words and sounds that are so far fetched that none other than the one he speaks to can understand him. By spending the legend point, the Scion's speech becomes impossible to understand by those who doesn't possess Epic Intelligence or the one the Scion directs his words too (who understands him perfectly well). Anyone listening may attempt a Intelligence + Academics roll against a difficulty of the Scion's Manipulation + Empathy + Legend (this isn't a roll, it's a set difficulty).

Slash Ignore

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Legend per minute
Action: Misc
Sometimes, people drawing attention to themselves can be a real bummer if you want it yourself. By the usage of this Knack, the Scion says a few words, rolls his eyes or just completely ignores the one drawing attention to himself and thus extends his ignoring stance to the ones around him. As long as the target has less legend, any Knack or stunt that draws attention (such as Center of Attention) is handled as if it isn't used.

Against targets with an equal amount of Legend, the player rolls Manipulation + Presence against the targets Appearance + Presence. If he beats the target, the target is treated as lower legend for the purpose of this Knack.

Targets with higher legend aren't affected by this Knack. For all three purposes, the Knack lasts for 1 minute plus 1 minute per legend point spent.

Stop the Presses

Rank: Demigod
Prerequsite: Breaking News
Cost: 1 Legend Point
Action: Misc
Much like the previous Knack, Stop the Presses can completely dissolve a social situation. By stating something utterly obvious with a loud voice (preferably screaming it as if it was the most important thing in the world) and spending the legend cost, the Scion can silence an entire room (something such as 'that's Loki in disguise!') and for a brief moment everyone is appalled and devastated by whatever the Scion stated, regardless of it actually affecting them or not. The Scion's words register as the truth even for people with Takes one to know One, although after a misc action, they realize if the Scion's words were true or not. This is a great way to make sure that a room is silent for the use of further knacks or the like. If used in conjunction with Breaking News, the crowd goes silent and awaits the Scion's speech about the topic.

Touched by a Feeling

Rank: Demigod
Requirements: Gods Honest
Action: Misc
Cost: 2 legend points

While feelings is something many scions can manipulate, this knack takes that one step further. By simply touching a mortal or being with lesser legend, the Scion can strengthen or weaken those feelings that the touched being experiences. These feelings can be anything from lust, pride or happiness etc. If the being in question has a legend score less than the scion, the scion can impart a penalty to actions equal to his or her Epic Manipulation dots to actions that are relevant to that feeling (such as wits rolls to resist seduction etc.). If the being is a mortal, the feeling overwhelms them temporarily and they are unable to act in any other way than the feeling dictates them too.

Beings of the same legend can resist with a Wits + Integrity roll, or spend a willpower to completely ignore the feeling for as many actions as they have legend. The feeling lasts for a number of actions equal to the number of successes the Scion rolls on a Manipulation + Empathy roll.

Try To Catch Me If You Can!

Rank: Demigod
Requirements: Center of Attention, Overt Order, Legend 6
Action: Misc
Cost: 3 legend points
For some scions, the art of taunting goes beyond simple words and expressions. Some become legendary by means of how they divert attention to themselves. By spending the legend cost, the Scion rolls his Manipulation + presence against a number of targets equal to his epic manipulation dots who defends with their Intelligence + Integrity. If they fail, they are forced to attack the Scion for a number of ticks equal to the amount of successes the user gathered. Creatures with higher legend than the scion can opt to spend a willpower point to ignore the effect completly.

Epic Appearance

7/8/1

Break the Spell

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Diceless
Cost: 1 Legend point per minute
This Knack is the complete opposite of the Center of Attention Knack. By spending the legend cost, the scion becomes utterly invisible to a crowd. True, they know he's there, but no one really puts any attention to what he does. The Scion might be waving a gun in his hand telling people to get down, but no one will take what he says seriously. This gives the benefit of a -4 penalty to anyone who's trying to observe what the character does as well as people have a severe difficulty remembering what the Scion did, even if they managed to observe it. Attempts to remember what the scion did is at a -4 penalty at a difficulty of the Scion's Appearance + Stealth + Legend + Epic Appearance Dots (You do not add the epic successes to this difficulty).

Anyone who has the Perfect Memory Knack ignores the penalty to remember what the Scion did, but they must still roll. If they fail the roll, they didn't really look at what the Scion was doing.

Crushing Glare

Rank: Demigod
Requirements: Demoralizing Glance
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 legend for every member who you want to include
While Scions with Demoralizing Glance can make opponents fear them, some scions can extend this influence to the others of their groups. By spending one legend per character he wants to include to this defense, the scion can force the penalty caused by Demoralizing glance upon as many targets as he has legend.

Do Want

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: Epic Manipulation 1
Cost: 1 Legend or 1 Legend + 1 Willpower
Action: Misc
Either by sheer aura or by a simple glance, a Scion with this Knack can make someone want him. While the Scion has no control over 'why' the subject of this Knack wants him, it still creates an urge to have the Scion for one's own. A collector of art for example, would want to add the Scion to his collection while a person suffering from nymphomania will instantly want to bed the Scion. This knack costs 1 Legend to activate against a being without a legend score while it costs 1 legend and a willpower point against a being with legend. Against beings with equal legend as the Scion, the Scion must gather more successes on a Manipulation + Presence roll while the subject rolls Charisma + Integrity. Beings with higher legend are only affected if they have an interest in the Scion from the start, although they still get the same resistance as creatures with equal legend.

Frightening Glare

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Attack
Cost: 2 Legend
By a simple stare, glare or even look, a scion with this knack can crack the self confidence of almost any foe. Those of lesser legend will need to spend a willpower point to even glance upon the scion, or even to attack him as well as a -2 penalty to their actions and DV. Even those who spend a willpower suffers a -2 penalty to all Actions as long as the Scion is staring them. Those creatures, scions or gods of the same legend can make a resistance with Wits + Integrity vs. the scions Appearance + Presence. Creatures with legend above the scion remains unaffected by the glance.

Halo of Beauty

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 willpower
While beauty can make people more favorable to you, having the beauty that some of the gods and scions have affects those around them in extraordinary ways. By spending three legend points, the character can use his appearance and epic appearance instead of charisma and epic charisma for any dice pools that involves charisma for the remainder of the scene.

Halo of Despair

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Grip of Despair
Cost: 1 Legend Point + 1 Willpower for each target beyond the first
Action: Reaction (Grip of Despair)
While a Scion with the Grip of Despair Knack can crush the will of a target, a Scion who has Halo of Despair can crush the will of multiple opponents at the same time! By paying the cost, the Scion may afflict one additional target with the same penalty as the first one. What's more, each time the Scion pays the cost for this Knack, he may afflict one additional target with the same penalty!

Heavenly Obsession

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Do Want, Epic Manipulation 4
Cost: 5 legend + 1 Willpower
Action: Misc
Not only does the use of Do Want cause the target to want the user of the Knack, but once afflicted with Do Want, the Scion may also afflict the same target with Heavenly Obsession. When doing so, the target becomes unable to focus on anything else. He simply must follow the user of this Knack. In combat, he can't attack anyone else and in a social situation, he becomes unable to muster any attention to someone else. This Knack lasts for a number of actions equal to the Scions roll of Appearance + Command.

Grip of Despair

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Misc
Cost: 2 legend per point of DV penalty
while most ugly scions inflict horror in their foes, those with this Knack are horror incarnate. Fighting against such a Scion is difficult as every instinct in the target tells him to give up and surrender. The Scion can spend up to his Epic Appearance Dots legend to lower a foes DV by 1 against the Scions attacks. If the target has equal Legend as the Scion, he may spend legend points to nullify the penalty for a 1 by 1 basis, but must do so when the Scion activates this knack.

Targets of greater legend are unaffected.

Out of your League

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Epic Appearance 3
Action: Misc
Cost: 4 Legend
There are those scion's who's bodies and movements are so beautiful that doing anything else than looking at them is simply out of the question. By spending the legend cost, the Scion becomes nigh unbearable to touch or harm. Every time someone attempts to attack the Scion he must make a Wits + Presence roll, with a difficulty of the Scions Epic Appearance successes. If she succeeds, she can attack the Scion without penalty. If she fails, she staggers and can't simply bring herself to attack the Scion. This lasts for a number of attacks equal to the Scions dots in Epic Appearance against each opponent and it can be activated only once per scene.

Reverence

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Epic Appearance 5
Action: None
Cost: 1 legend point per scene
By sheer force of his appearance a scion with this knack makes mortals blind either by fear or from sheer love of her appearance. Mortals can no longer deny the Scion anything, be it money, secrets or anything they'd utterly refuse any other. If blinded by fear for the Scion, all mortals around her are cowed and can't run away from or approach the Scion unless commanded to do so either by the Scion or by another Scion with greater epic appearance. If another Scion with equal Epic Appearance tries to command then, he must win an opposed Appearance + Command roll. Anything a mortal does in the Scion's presence is done in great fear and loathing for the Scion, but they do not dare to raise a fist against her even if commanded to do so. All mortals simply refuse to attack the scion for fear of her divine wrath.

Roll Out the Red Carpet

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Center of Attention
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Willpower
Whether due to your rugged good looks or your terrifying countenance, people just tend to stay out of your way. Beings without a Legend score can't step into your path without a very good reason - and even then only if their Willpower score exceeds your Legend rating and they spend a point of temporary Willpower to do it. Such mundane folks won't approach you at a party unless you specifically allow them, and crowds automatically part before you as you walk. This even works during rush-hour traffic. As long as your face is somehow exposed (whether you are riding in a convertible with its top down or have stuck your head out of the window), the cars go out of their way to leave an opening for you - no one wants to provoke your road rage. Ignore all DV and movement penalties caused by throngs of mundane mortals. This benefit extends to anyone following immediately after you as it takes the traffic a moment or two to close up - which is good when guiding friends through a crowd, but bad when trying to escape pursuit.

You may take this Knack regardless of whether you are divinely beautiful or ugly: smokin' good looks can flabbergast and intimidate just as well as horrific scars.

For Beings with a legend score, unless their legend score succeeds yours, they are unable to stand in your path and if they have an equal legend score, they must beat you on a Appearance + Presence roll. This Knack has no effect on targets that has more dots in Epic Appearance than you do.

Say you want me

Rank: God
Prerequisites: Epic Manipulation 5, Epic Appearance 5, Epic Charisma 3, Want me More
Action: Misc
Cost: 10 Willpower + 1 Willpower, +1 Reserved Legend Point until the Scion releases the effect. For a scion with this Knack, other's idea of who or what they are might become second place to the scion's fiddle. When activivating Do Want, the Scion can choose any reason why the target wants her. It can be somthing trivial ("He wants to sleep with me") or something more complex ("he wants me so he can tell me his plan").

When activating this Knack, roll Appearance + Empathy, contested by the targets Wits + Integrity. If the scion wins, the target is instilled with the need that the scion wants and will act to fullfil it.

Serpents Gaze

Action: Misc

Shattering Voice

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Unearthly Voice
Action: Misc
Cost: 3 legend
Searing the eardrums of anyone listening, a Scion with this Knack can send out shock waves of sound when he so chose. By taking a deep breath and either keeping a note perfectly, the Scion causes a Knockback to everyone around him inside a radius equal to thrice his legend yards. The distance is calculated as for damage, except use the Scions Appearance + Presence. The shock is enough to even shatter many normal materials and deals damage to all objects around him, as well as those not possessing at least 2 dots of epic stamina, equal to his legend lethal damage.

Stunning Beauty

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend
Beauty can stun and cause someone to forget his words, but moreso for a Scion possessing this Knack. Whenever a Scion reveals himself, either by pulling the cloak of his shoulder, ripping open his shirt, or dazzling everyone with his smile, anyone in proximity of the Scion will be stunned by the beauty he possesses. When activated, this Knack causes everyone else to be pushed away from the current tick equal to the characters dots in Epic Appearance. This Knack is only usable once per Scene against anyone who has already seen the Scion. If someone new enters the Scene, the Scion can use it again.

Surreal Assault

Rank: God
Prerequisites: Unreal Strike
Action: Misc
Cost: 4 Legend + 1 Willpower
The sheer presence of a god can sometimes be enough to blind a mortal and for a god with this Knack, it becomes painfully clear that such legendary deeds can indeed apply even to other immortals and gods! When paying the cost for this Knack however, instead of dealing lethal or bashing damage with Unreal Strike, the Scion has two choices. Either he lashes out at all those around him, causing a substantial amount of both collateral and lethal damage. He can attack a number of targets with this Knack equal to his Legend instead of just one target.

The second use of this Knack is the ability to carve out the souls of other immortals with much greater ease. Instead of dealing lethal or Bashing damage, the Knack deals Aggravated damage instead. However the damage rolled is equal to the number of Dots in Epic Appearance + Presence.

Unearthly Voice

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Misc
Cost: 2 legend
Sounds can have a profound effect upon those hearing them and this is especially true for scions with this Knack. Through sheer vocal mastery, the Scion can pummel those around him and distract their every move with every note they sing. As long as the Scion is singing, he imposes a penalty to all his opponents (that can hear him sing) equal to his legend. The downside of this Knack is that the Scion can not do anything other than move at his normal rate (he can't dash) or keep singing. The Activation cost is paid but once.

Unreal Strike

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: None
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 legend or 1 legend + 1 Willpower
Normally, fists and weapons are what causes harm but with this Knack, a Scion leaves such trivialities behind. When purchasing this Knack, pick an ordinary overt action that wouldn't cause damage and isn't combat related (such as sticking out one's tounge). That Attack now becomes a lethal weapon on its own! When paying the activation cost of 1 legend, the Scion can use this action as an attack against any foe he can see and that can see him perform the action. The weapon uses an attack roll of Appearance + Presence and deals Bashing damage equal to Charisma + Presence. If the Scion also pays an extra willpower, the attack deals Lethal damage instead of Bashing damage.

Want me More

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Do Want, Epic Charisma 1
Cost: 1 Legend and 1 legend per extra emotion
Action: Misc
The scion has such a command of the emotions of those around her that she can instill other emotions than the raw need to "have" the scion. When activating Do Want, she can also pay an additional legend to gain 3 additional reasons why the target of Do Want wants her. It can be anything as simple as sexual desire, the need for a friend or more complex things such as 'the need to have someone that I can talk to about my deceased wife'. For each additional reason the Scion wants to instill a "want" in her in the target, pay 1 additional legend.

Epic Perception

Body Reading

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: None
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend
Sometimes, being able to hear someone isn't simply enough. Perhaps the distance is to great, or there's a soundproof glass in the way, but none of these things bother a Scion with this Knack, who can read any being's (which he is familiar with) body language so perfectly that he can understand what he says even if he can't hear the words. When he spends the cost, he studies a being for a misc action before being able to 'hear' anything he says through his body movement. For each additional being he'd like to study in a given scene he must pay one additional legend point.

Deja Vú

Rank: God
Prerequisites: Broad-Spectrum Reception
Action: Special, see text
Cost: 5 Legend + 2 Willpower
Deduction is something that is difficult if you have no idea about the past, but a Scion with this knack can for himself a picture of what happened at a place as long as he knows at least something of the place in question. Once in a room, he can spend the cost and spend at least a minute in the room (60 ticks) and form a near perfect image of what happened in the room. The scion gets a silent movie of what happened in the room but he only sees those people he can confirm was in the room with other skills. The others are displayed as non-descript individuals.

Divine Gun Wielder

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Heroic Gunwielder
Action: Passive
Cost: None
While heroic Scions add their Perception to the damage dealt with their non-strength propelled guns, Scions with this Knack adds their Epic Perception bonus to this damage as well, causing one hell of a lot more damage.

Divine Perception

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Epic Wits 2
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend per dot of Legend
The Perception of a Scion with this Knack is so perfect that he can view things that are invisible for antoher being. Any invisible beings of a legend lower of the Scion becomes visible to the Scion, even though he cant say anything about who the invisible being is. He just knows exactly were they are. Those of equal legend may contest this by a Dexterity + Stealth roll vs a Perception + Awareness roll.

Empathic Coloration

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: None
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Willpower
Dice Pool: Perception + Empathy
Emotions can be displayed in color as proven by various paintings over the centuries of mankinds history. A scion with this knack however can alter his perception so that he literary sees the emotions flowing through people. When activating this knack he instantly learns the major emotions of those around him without interacting with them as he can see their feelings. This can also be done to whole groups, so that the Scion can see the major emotions sweeping through a group. The base difficulty for seeing the emotions of a group is 3 + 1 for each multiple of 2 the group contains. (thus a group of 500 people would be difficulty 12). For as long as the Scion can watch a representation of an area he can also choose to view a groups emotions. A map of Europe for example, would let him see what major emotions would sweep over all Britts for example.

Heroic Gun Wielder

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Passive
Cost: None
The old saying "The old times was better" is true for guns, as in the hands of mortals they can hardly cause any trouble for a legendary creature. With this knack however, a Scion can alter the very fabric of reality to allow even gunpowder weapons to be raised to the ranks of the immortal weapons of old. When taking this Knack, the Scion adds his perception dots to damage of any gun he wields. This bonus doesnt include any epic successes.

Instant Search

Rank: Hero
Requirements: Epic Wits 1
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend
A scion possessing this knack seems to either be incredible lucky or have the eyes of a divine hawk. When paying the cost for this knack and activating it, the Scion can instantly search an area for an object of his choosing. Be it a book title, a person or any other object he can actually percieve. The Scion then rolls Perception+Investigation and if he scores enough successes, he instantaneously find the object he's looking for. The difficulty of this roll is either contested (if he's looking for someone who hides) or set depending on the obscurity of the item. Finding a book with a clear text right in front of the Scion is difficulty 1, while finding a pin in a haystack is difficulty 10.

I saw that coming...

Rank: Demigod
Requirements: Legend 5, Epic Perception 3
Action: Reflex
Cost: 5 Legend Points + 1 Willpower
For most other people, mortal and divine alike, a Scion possessing this Knack might from time to time appear either omniscient or clairvoyant. Whenever the Scion is attacked, after he knows when he's hit although before knowing the damage, he can opt to activate this Knack. Doing so increases his DV by his Epic Perception Dots against that particular attack. If the attack missed, he simply knew it was coming and didn't stand in the way of it. If he's still hit, he has managed to brace for the impact and his soak is temporarily increased by a number equal to the successes rolled on a Perception + Empathy roll.

Mirror Vision

Rank: Hero
Requirements: None
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend Points
For even the most perceptive Scions, a simple wall can sometimes block their entire field of vision. For some Scions however, even a simple wall may not be enough to stop his perceptive glare. Any relatively smooth surface can, if the Scion spends the legend point cost, be used as a mirror which reflects whatever the Scion needs to see. When activating a Knack, he can see these reflections for the entire scene, thus negating cover and such when he's trying to find someone. He still can't shoot around corners though.

Satellite Shooting

Rank: God
Requirements: Calculate Trajectory, Trick Shooting
Action: Special
Cost: 5 Legend points
For some Scions, distance is simply not a problem and once they put their mind into aiming, literary no distance can prevent them from firing at a target. Wind, distance or even sight no longer prevents the scion from firing against a target, as they can simply take them into account for the shot. As long as the scion knows where the target is, he can fire at it regardless of the distance when he pays the cost. To perform such a shot, the Scion takes aim for a total of 10 ticks before unleashing his attack. During this time, he can do nothing else than focus on the attack (and thus has a DV of 0), unless he wants to take a secondary action (and thus reduce the dice pool by 4 and use the lowest dice pool of the two actions), which can only be a defensive action.

A scion can fire at any object he knows the position of (which can be calculated through the use of Math Genius for such things as moving satellites), but things that move erratically are outside of this Knack (unless the Scion wants to take a shot in the proverbial dark). Shooting at something the Scion can't predict to stay reasonably within a small area (such as a medium tent) applies a minimum of -4 success to the roll.

Regardless of target, the bullet will then travel at the target in the same time as it would reach the maximum range increment regardless of distance although this doesn't add any damage to the missile.

Say My Name

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: None
Action: Reflexive
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Willpower
Names have power and a Scion with this Knack knows this far more well than most other people. When any being on the same plane of existence as the character (overworld, world, underworld) speaks the Scion's name, the Scion gets a general feeling of what sort of power that being has (in terms of legend that is) and if its more or less than him. If he then chooses to activate this knack by paying the cost, he gets a general feeling of what they are speaking about and who the speakers are (such as 'Set and Horus is discussing your role in the accidental release of Zeus grandchildren').

See the Unseen

Rank: God
Prerequisites: Unfailing Recognition
Action: Misc
Cost: 5 Legend + 2 Willpower
Whenever a scion with this Knack identifies someone who's fatebound to him, he can spend a single point of legend and willpower to learn one of the roles of this fatebound to his legend. If the fatebound's role should ever change, the scion will feel a strange sensation tingling up his back, altough he'll not learn the new role of the fatebound, or which one of his many bound that had its role changed.

Epic Intelligence

Arithmetic Awareness

Rank: Demigod
Requirements: Math Genius
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend per action
Even other gods can be amazed by a Scion who possesses this Knack, as it grants that Scion an exceptional ability to calculate exactly were strikes and other objects will land. When focusing wholly on dodging (i.e. taking the guard action), the Scion can spend 1 point of legend per attack aime d at him and make himself nigh untouchable by adding his Epic Intelligence Dots to any DV he possess. As an additional benefit, he always knows were an object can land as long as he can see the object fall.

Brain Trust

Rank: Demigod
Requirement: Eureka
Action: 2 Misc
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Willpower for each participant
Two heads are better than one, which is doubly true for a Scion possessing this Knack. Whenever the Scion is attempting to solve a problem or activating a anything that relates to intelligence, he may discuss his theories, ideas and actions with others to further enhance the effects. When activiating this knack, the Scion designates a number of targets up to his legend score. Each participant who then willingly spends two miscellaneous actions discussing the Scions ideas grants the Scion a number of bonus dice equal to their dots in epic intelligence.

If this KNack is used to fuel any special Purview (such as Prophecy), the Boon instead adds a single dice per participant in the braintrust. Not that the Scion himself is never treated as a participant for the purpose of this Knack.

Calculate Trajectory

Rank: Demigod
Requirements: Math Genius
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend for each doubling of the range
While being a math genius is useful, being able to calculate a perfect trajectory is something that requires both skill and intelligence. When a scion with this Knack decides to pay the legend cost and calculate a perfect trajectory, the range increment of a ranged weapon is increased a number of time equal to your dots in epic intelligence for the remainder of the scene for each Legend point the character spends. This doesn't increase the hit chance of such an attack though.

Calculated Strike

Rank: God
Requirements: Calculate Trajectory
Action: Misc
Cost: 5 Legend + 2 Will power
When a scion with this Knack decides that he really wants to his his foe, he does so with incredible accuracy. By spending the Willpower and legend as well as spending 5 ticks doing nothing else than observe his foe, he can make one attack that is thoroughly calculated and perfected. This strike has an additional bonus successes equal to his Epic Intelligence Dots.

Circular Logic

Rank: God
Prerequistes: Legend 9
Cost: 5 Legend + 2 Willpower
Action: Misc
Most mortals and scions can shrug off a circular argument without thinking much of it, but a Scion whos Epic intelligence is in the range of a god becomes frightingly dangerous when it comes to stating things that are either obvious or circular... Whenever the god pays the cost to activate this Knack, he states a circular argument, which infests the minds of those nearby and who can hear the Scion. The Scion Rolls Intelligence + Presence and anyone hearing the argument must roll Intelligence + Academics. If they gather less successes than the Scion, their minds are completly infected by the argument and their actions take a penalty to their speed equal to the Scions Epic Intelligence Dots for as long as the Scion keeps repeating himself (a Misc action in itself which can't be split with other actions).

Elementary my Dear...

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Cost:
Action: Misc

Eureka

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 1 Legend
Action: Misc
Ideas can sometimes be difficult to impart without lectures or lots of time. A scion possessing this Knack however, can give nothing but a knowing glance to a person, who then has a perfect 'eureka' moment. This Knack can be activated as long as the target can see the character using this Knack.

Dodge This

Rank: Demigod
Requirements: Adaptive Fighting
Action: Reaction
Cost: 3 Legend point per attack
Those opponents with Untouchable Opponent, extreme dexterity or simply ridiculously high DV's can be beyond the reach of any mortal or even any god. Any Demigod with this Knack however, can put so much focus into his attacks that even that even those need to focus on their dodging instead of their attacks. By spending the legend cost, the scion becomes utterly focused for a single attack and adds his Epic Intelligence Dots as automatic successes to his next attack.

I Knew That!

Rank: Demigod
Type: Mental
Action: Reaction (Two Steps Ahead)
Cost: 2 Legend + 2 Willpower
While having the Two Steps Ahead Knack makes the Scion difficult to affect with Knacks, this Knack makes it nigh impossible to hit the Scion with something surprising. Whenever a Knack is used against the Scion, he may pay the cost for I Knew That! and for Two Steps Ahead and thus activate the Two Steps Ahead Knack as a reaction instead of a misc action, ignoring the Knack that targeted him.

Intellectual Prodigy

Rank: Demigod
Requirements: Legend 6
Action: Diceless
Cost: 1 Legend
While scions who study a field can surly excel at them, nothing excels more at them than a Scion who possesses this Knack. When taking this knack, pick one ability of academics, Medicine, Occult or a a single Science. Whenever he is about to roll for that specific skill, any dice involved in the roll becomes automatic successes. To include any purview into this (such as Arete), another 1 legend must be spent, what's more the Scion can pay 1 more legend to add one additional success, up to a total value which equals his number of dots in epic intelligence.

Master Plan

Rank: Hero
Requirements: Epic Perception 1
Action: Misc + 10
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Willpower
A lot of characters in movies and comics possess an uncanny ability to plan out the actions and events of their surroundings. A Scion with this knack however, possess an ability to plan out events that are far beyond any of the powers of any mortals. When the Scion activates this knack and spends the prerequisited time, he can come up with a plan that involves a number of opponents or allies equal to his Epic Intelligence Dots. After declaring which opponents and allies are to gain the bonuses, he rolls Intelligence + Command and then begins to set things up. The total successes becomes a pool of successes he can apply to any roll during the scene as either bonuses or penalties that is done by those targeted by this Knack. He can give a maximum number of bonuses to each roll equal to his legend.

Two Steps Ahead

Rank: Hero
Requirements: Special, see text (Epic Wits 1 (for Heroic Knacks), Epic Wits 4 (for Demigod Knacks), Epic Wits 7 (for God Knacks))
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Willpower
While a lot of intelligent people tend to be clever and think fast, it's very difficult to surprise a Scion with this Knack. Whenever Activating this Knack, the Scion grants himself a shield against the use of another Knack. Note that the scion must meet the requirements to activate the knack, not to purchase it.

Unshatterable Focus

Rank: God
Requirements: Dodge This
Action: Reaction
Cost: 5 Legend points for a scene or until attacking another
Beyond even those Demigods with Dodge This, a God with Unsatterable Focus tunes in to his opponents moves so clearly, that for a moment, that target is the only thing that exists for the God. The god doesn't only Receive his Epic Intelligence Dots to all his attacks against his target, he also counts as making twice the number of attacks against that opponent when calculating Onslaught Bonus.

The target also takes a -4 to his Dodge DV thanks to all the constant focus he recieves from the God, who cant attack any other target before his target is unconcious, dead or in any other way immobilized without loosing his Unshatterable Focus. He can use it more than once, but only against a single opponent at the time.

Epic Wits

Fast Talking Snake

Rank: Demigod
Type: Social
Prerequisites: God's Honest
Action: Misc
Cost: 5 Legend + 1 Willpower
Even under pressure, the Scion can perform wonders with words that defy the logic of mortals. By activating this cost and spending the legend and willpower, the Scion may activate any number of Social Knacks in one action. This is almost like a verbal assault, leaving the target of the knacks dazed and confused of what was truly said by the Scion. The only drawback of this Knack is that all Knacks that specify a target must be against the target of this Knack.

Fool me once...

Rank: Hero
Type: Social
Prerequisites: Epic Intelligence 1+
Action: Reaction
Cost: 1 Legend
Fooling a person once is easy... twice, might go, but the third time? Well, he's bound to catch on sooner or later... A Scion with this knack is actually preternatural sharp at discovering tricks and manipulations. Whenever someone successfully manipulates him by the use of a Knack, the Scion may spend 1 legend. If he does, he gets a bonus success on his next resistance check against such foolery until the end of the scene. This Knack may be activated once every time the Scion is fooled, increasing his resistance for each successful attempt.

Dive for Cover

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Prerequisites: Lightning Reflexes
Action: Reaction (Push)
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Willpower
When a Scion reacts, time seems to stand still. Doubly so for a Scion possessing this Knack, for few things can ever overcome his sense of constant awareness. Whenever the Scion declares a Defensive Do Over, he increases his DV by his full Athletics + Legend instead of just his Athletics/2. However, this has an increased cost of an additional Legend an a point of Willpower. Doing so also increases the speed of the action he took last by 1 tick (thus pushing him back one more tick until he acts again).

Exhaustive Rush

Rank: Hero
Type: Social
Prerequisites: Willpower 3+
Action: Misc
Cost: 2 Legend per willpower
Whenever the Scion needs a sudden empowerment of Willpower, he can activate this knack. For each legend spent, he or she instantly regains a point of willpower. However, this comes at a prize. For each point of willpower regained this way each scene, the Scion must sleep for a full 2 hours before being able to regain Willpower or Legend again. This is reduced by a single hour per dot of Epic Stamina the character has. The minimum time a Scion must sleep is 2 hours.

Example: Aaron wishes to regain 4 points of willpower as he's mid battle with one of Set's Scions... He has Epic Stamina 5 at the moment this happens, so he would normally spend 8 legend points and be forced to rest for 16 hours. Now however, he must only rest for 11 hours.

Lightning Reflexes

Rank: Hero
Type: Combat
Prerequisites: None
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 willpower
While scions with Untouchable Opponent and High Epic dex are truly difficult to hit, Scions with Lightning Reflexes can be as difficult to counter too. When spending the Legend cost, the Scion uses his Epic Wits instead of his Epic Dexterity when adding the bonus successes to Dodge DV or Parry DV for the rest of the scene. This doesn't stack with Epic Dexterity.

Lightning Shield

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Requirements: Lightning Reflexes
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend
When activating this Knack a scion begins to spin his weapon around himself at such a speed that he effectively becomes impossible to hit. As long as the Scion does nothing other than focus on parrying, his Parry DV is doubled against any incoming attack that can be parried. Against creatures with higher legend, this Knack doesn't double the DV.

Mental Refuge

Rank: Demigod
Type: Social
Prerequisites: None
Action: Misc
Cost: 3 Willpower
Being under the influence of another being can be harsh and very tearing on a Scions ego. But the physical form of a Scion and his mental form are two widely different things. A scion possessing this Knack can push his mind into a mental refuge were he's unaffected by such things as Serpent Gaze, the paralyzing touch of a titan etc. While he can't move physically, the Scion is free to activate any boons or knacks that only requires mental focus, and what's better is that no one can detect that the scion is doing so, unless they posses Epic Perception, although they might still be at loss of what to do against it.

This Knack might even be activated when the Scion is asleep! Although few Scions does so as when they are asleep, they are unaware of what's happening around them and they will only get sound input if their eyes are closed.

Mirror Block

Rank: Demigod
Type: Combat
Prerequisites: Lightning Reflexes
Action: Reaction
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Willpower
A shield can block attacks as well as be used as a weapon, but only a Scion with this knack truly understands how a shield can block an attack and then make that attack into a weapon. When an opponent misses the Scion with an attack, the Scion may reflexivly spend the cost for this Knack and redirect that attack against another target (including the original attacker). Doing so incurs a -2 DV penalty to the Scion as he opens himself up a bit to make an attack. If this attack misses and the new target possesses this Knack to, he can also use it.

Onslaught

Rank: Hero
Type: Combat
Prerequisites: None
Action: Reaction
Cost: 1 Legend
Whenever an opponent, that the scion has engaged, to the scion falls in battle. The scion can spend a single point of legend to gain a +1 bonus dice to the accuracy of all his attacks during that scene. This bonus can't be higher than the scions Legend rating.

Think On Your Feet

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend
People often say things that they regret a moment later, but a Scion with this Knack can simply ignore such things... but not only that, he can actually ignore what other people say as well! Whenever someone says anything that threatens to make a mess out of the situation, the Scion might simply pay the cost and interupt the speaker before he even said anything, thus being able to prevent whatever that person was about to say.

To Think Is To Act

Rank: Demigod
Prerequisites: Opening Gambit
Action: Diceless
Cost: 2 Legend + 2 Willpower
While thinking is an action in itself, Scions with this Knack completly ignores such minor hindrances and they act while they think and there appears to be no time between a decision and an action for them. When activating this Knack, the Scion becomes as fluid in his motions as the sea. the speed for all his actions for a number of actions equal to his Epic Wits Dots has their speed lowered by 2. This Knack can only be activated once per scene.

True Neutral

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Misc
Cost: 1 Legend
Whenever a discussion breaks out, people are bound to take sides in the argument wherever they like it or not, especially when there are Scion's around with charisma or manipulation to boot. A scion with this Knack however, remain completely neutral to the point of both sides thinking that they have him on their side. Whenever someone throws a deft argument his or hers way, she simply disarms it with a shrug or a smile while remaining 'neutral' in the eyes of the people around him. When paying the legend cost, it becomes impossible for those of equal or lesser legend to truly determine if the knack user is on their side or not, which can lead up to some effective backstabbing.

Wisdom of the Ages

Rank: Hero
Prerequisites: None
Action: Special, see text
Cost: 1 Legend + 1 Willpower
