The elves make their home in the northern forests while the dwarves keep to the mountains in the middle of the island. The western swamps are home to countless lizardfolk, the only force that so far has resisted the orcs direct control. Instead they pay tribute to the orcs to avoid an invasion that could lead to either defeat or victory.

History & Timeline[]

Kushori is an old nation, raised from the ocean by its gods. They populated the land with men, elves and dwarves, hoping to saw civilization in their wake. The men spread to the mainland and settled the areas around the coast. The world was peaceful until the rise of the Orc hordes. Evil gods brought them forth from the the dark and made them violent and disruptive. They overwhelmed the human kingdoms on the mainland and left the mainland a broken and anarchic land.

A century after the great invasion, the orc hordes assimilated some of the human culture and created their own code of "honor" called Basheado. This code turned them into dishonorable warriors. The greatest of the warriors, known as Tokugawa, lead his followers to the one place were he could ascend into the heavens and become that which he was meant to be. He had learned of the Divine Tear, an item rumoured to be able to ascend a mortal into the form of a god.

Tokugawa invaded Kushori and devasted the armies of the land. When he had subdued the land, he began to try to make himself into a demigod by the power of the Divine Tear.

Now, the country side is lawless and powerless to destroy the invaders, except for a single human who has sworn to take out the rogue demigod... A human called the faceless shadow.

Cosmology[]

Kushori is linked to the multiverse, but only through the Utter Dark. Any creature who wants to reach Kushori has to go through the utter Dark.
